WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Two female deputies sued the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department, claiming they were sexually harassed.
The federal suit, filed last month, seeks unspecified damages.
Maria Rodriguez, a 22-year veteran of the department, contends a male colleague once asked her to wear a G-string with a law enforcement patch on it.
She also claims male deputies looked at pornographic magazines while on duty and made sexually suggestive comments to her in the locker room.
Rodriguez claims her formal complaint was ignored by her supervisors and she eventually had to take a temporary unpaid leave because of the stress.
